Pakistani Women Who Inspire: A Tribute to Their Motivational Works on International Women's Day 2023
International Women's Day is a day to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women worldwide. In Pakistan, women have made significant contributions in various fields, despite facing many challenges.
This year, on International Women's Day 2023, we pay tribute to Pakistani women
who inspire us with their motivational works.
- Malala

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani education activist who
became the youngest Nobel Prize laureate in 2014. Malala is an advocate for
girls' education and has been recognized globally for her work. She survived an
assassination attempt by the Taliban in 2012 and has continued to advocate for
girls' education since then.
- Benazir
Bhutto:
Benazir Bhutto was the first woman elected to lead a
Muslim-majority country, serving as the Prime Minister of Pakistan from 1988 to
1990 and again from 1993 to 1996. She was a strong advocate for democracy and
women's rights, and she worked to improve the lives of the poor and
marginalized.
- Sharmeen
Obaid-Chinoy:
Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is a Pakistani journalist and
filmmaker who has won two Academy Awards for her documentaries on social issues
in Pakistan. She has used her work to bring attention to issues such as
domestic violence, acid attacks, and honor killings.
- Muniba

motivational speaker. She became a wheelchair user after a car accident in 2007
but has since become an advocate for disability rights and women's empowerment.
She has given motivational talks around the world and has been recognized as a
Forbes 30 under 30 in 2016.
- Fehmida
Mirza:
Fehmida Mirza is a Pakistani politician who became the first
woman to be elected as the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan in
2008. She has worked to promote gender equality and women's rights and has
advocated for the inclusion of women in politics and decision-making processes.
These are just a few examples of Pakistani women who have
made significant contributions to society and have inspired others with their
motivational works. On International Women's Day 2023, let us pay tribute to
these women and all the other women who have worked to promote gender equality
and women's rights in Pakistan and around the world.
We should continue to support and empower women in all
aspects of life, including education, employment, healthcare, and politics. We
can also challenge gender bias and discrimination in our personal and
professional lives and advocate for policies that promote gender equality.
Let us celebrate International Women's Day 2023 by honoring
the achievements of women and working towards a more equal world for all.
